For the Ludi Naturae show, Iris van Herpen collaborated with the Dutch artist Peter Gentenaar, who is known for capturing ‘organic memory’ and motion in his delicate large-scale cellulose sculptures. Gentenaar created a site-specific floating installation that blossoms around the garments as the models move.

Gentenaar uses bamboo structures as his sculpture's skeletons, to mirror the spine of a leaf, incorporating other basic forms (triangles, squares) to show the distinct effect of prolonged drying of the pulp. The pigment is only used to color the bamboo that bleeds naturally into the pulp, giving the sculptures a glazed look
