Career Opportunity: Atelier Coordinator (fulltime)

At Iris van Herpen we are looking for an enthusiastic Atelier Coordinator with strong organizational, administrative, coordination and logistic skills. This is a full-time employment opportunity.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:
• Atelier and business organization, handling incoming e-mails, calls, and requests.
• Responsible for sourcing and ordering materials and supplies for the business.
• Organisation of archive garments for respective storage and display purposes.
• Coordination of logistics and shipment of garments for clients, press, editorial, events, exhibitions or museums.
• Responsible for showroom display and maintenance.
• Management of digital and physical schedules, agenda and travel management.
• Maintenance of stock inventory for IVH business.
• Basic bookkeeping tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent command of the English and Dutch language, both spoken and written.
Passionate and understanding of the creative process within art and fashion.

CAREER OPPORTUNITY: PR & COMMUNICATIONS

JOB PURPOSE:
Create and manage communication strategies for the brand’s current and future areas of PR activity, executing plans with press and media through partners, influencers, ambassadors, key opinion leaders, collaborators, suppliers, and content creators.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Public Relations & Communications
Build and manage relevant and effective PR, communications and media seasonal and product strategies.
Foster and develop healthy press, stylists and collaborators network and relationships.
Implement and maintain PR database and CRM systems.
Pen, distribute and monitor seasonal and ad-hoc press releases.
Initiating new opportunities to heighten brand awareness.

Press Placements
Pro-active outreach and process print and digital press requests to secure and increase relevant editorial coverage.
Coordinate and manage the successful execution of editorial photoshoots.
Pitch and secure brand and designer interviews and feature stories.
Coordinate and manage the successful execution of brand and designer interviews and feature stories.
Maximize positive press coverage for collections shown bi-annually.

VIP Dressing
Identify, outreach and manage relevant VIP target list including influencers, ambassadors and celebrities.
Develop and execute a strategic VIP outreach and placement program to showcase couture garments at relevant red-carpet, art, film or music public events and private sales events.
Communicate and coordinate with VIPs, stylists, agents and their teams to secure fittings and dressings for public appearances.
Create seasonal and event centered look-books for distribution and follow up.

Garment Trafficking
In collaboration with the Atelier Manager, be responsible and aware of the garment locations at all times.
In collaboration with the Atelier Manager, manage coordination and logistics of garment movement to and from stylists, press and the atelier for editorial, interviews and VIP dressings.
Pitch, manage and monitor budgets for garment shipping for the press, editorial and VIP garment placements.

Digital
Propose, upload and manage content for the website and brand owned digital platforms.
Create, distribute and manage seasonal brand newsletters.

Show & Events
Press coordination and management for fashion shows and events.
Coordinate and conduct seasonal collection atelier previews and showroom re-sees.
In collaboration with an appointed PR agency for fashion shows, to identify, invite and manage the guest list and seating plan.
VIP outreach for front row attendance during fashion shows.
Fashion show and event on-site VIP and media management.
Photographer and videographer coordination.
Coordinate content creation for PR, press, digital and communications usage.
Create, distribute and manage fashion shows and events media kit.
To initiate, coordinate and manage press days, stylists and influencer events.

Special Projects
Lead PR, marketing and communications around collaborative and special projects.
Initiate PR, marketing and communications for new product launches.

Reporting
Follow up with monthly and seasonally placement and performance reports for editorial features.
Collate, manage and present press clippings.
Monitor, analyze and support website performance.

Manage the Iris van Herpen digital platforms through devising and executing relevant social media strategies, coordinating content creation, publishing, community management, monitor, review and improve performance.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trends and Innovation:
Research and present new technological updates and content trends of relevant social media platforms.
Staying on top of and sharing trends within the wider digital, art and fashion landscape.
Propose new and innovative content and ways of publishing.

Strategy:
Work closely with stakeholders and PR & Comms Manager to devise social media and content strategy.
Develop social media content calendar that is in line with both brand activities and relevant global events.
Explore, define and implement paid-for social media promotions.
Identify and perform outreach to relevant brand ambassadors and influencers.
Ensure social media content is cohesive, timely and in consideration with website and newsletter content.

Messaging:
Defining cohesive tone of voice of social media platforms with PR & Comms Manager.
Develop and roll out campaign-based, seasonal-led, product-based and brand-wide social media narratives.

Content Creation:
Propose new ideas and innovative concepts for social media content.
Creating and/or commissioning relevant written, graphic, photographic and moving content.

Campaigns:

Publishing:

Internships at Iris van Herpen

Internships at Iris van Herpen are offered for a minimum duration of 4 months. A European passport is required, unless you are studying at a Dutch university. Due to the many applications a response can take up to 6 weeks. Please wait for the reply and send your application far enough in advance. Interns are carefully selected and the internship is dedicated to the ambitions and skills of the applicant. Please mention in your application which position below you wish to apply for.

Management and branding internship

Assisting with managing the Couture archive, the loans, the sales, the runway show and the PR. Working closely together with both the project manager and the commercial director. Assisting at photoshoots and developing graphics.

Requirements:
-    A degree or studying for a degree in fashion management, branding or communication, or another relevant related direction
-    Excellent in English 
-    Good organizational skills
-    Ambition for a future in the high-end fashion industry
-    Hands on and responsible attitude

Atelier internship

Working closely together with the atelier where the collections are being developed and restored. This involves many different kinds of handwork, patternmaking, machine sewing, sourcing, graphic design and more and for some, a chance to join and help behind the scenes at Paris Fashion Week.

Requirements:

-    A degree or studying for a degree in fashion, or another relevant related direction
-    Command of the industry jargon in English
-    Excellent handwork skills
-    Patient, innovative, curious and hands on mindset
-    Educated and experienced in patternmaking and machine sewing
-    Time management skills as well as being able to work under time pressure
-    Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is an advantage


2D and 3D Graphic design internship

Working closely together with the atelier team on technical files for lasercutting, garment construction and development of fabric manipulation that requires computer vector and 3D visualization.

Requirements:

-    A degree or studying for a degree in architecture, industrial design, product design, graphic design and/or in fashion with a focus on construction.
-    Command of the industry jargon in English
-    Excellent logical, constructive and spatial aware way of thinking
-    Patient, innovative, curious and hands on mindset
-    Educated and experienced construction field
-    Basic knowledge of pattern making is an advantage
-    Time management skills as well as being able to work under time pressure
-    Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
