News | Iris Van Herpen Wins Inaugural Perrier-Jouët Design for Nature Award
Iris van Herpen has been selected as the first recipient of the inaugural Perrier-Jouët Design for Nature Award. The new accolade, created by Perrier-Jouët in collaboration with Design Miami, recognizes designers whose work bridges artistic innovation with ecological consciousness.
Rooted in the spirit of Art Nouveau and its celebration of the deep interconnectedness between nature, culture, and creativity, the Design for Nature Award invites designers to propose regenerative, collaborative pathways for the future of design.
As the award’s inaugural honoree, Van Herpen has been granted carte blanche to create a singular work that will debut at Design Miami in 2026. The commission celebrates her ongoing exploration at the intersection of nature, craftsmanship, and emerging science - a dialogue central to her practice for almost two decades.
